The anti-corruption advocacy group.around the maritime sector, the National Compliance Joint Task Force of Customs Licensed Agents (NCJTFLCA) on Thursday marked its third year of existence with the inauguration of its Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) chapter and a fundraising. It also used the occassion to honour its president on his birthday.
The president of the association is the irrepressible Chief Basil Chudi Nwolisa who has stayed very steadfast in the campaign against all corrupt and unwholesome practices especially within the Maritime sector of the Nigerian economy.
Notable Industry stakeholders, members of the public and journalists were at the event held at the Rockview hotel, Festac town, Lagos.
The president of the group used the opportunity provided by the three-pronged event to deplore the level of corruption in the country, but urged everyone to be resilient and steadfast so that posterity will judge them kindly .
The inaugurated members of the KLT chapter include, Jude Chukwuma as chairman, Ukachukwu Azubuike as the secretary and Martin Igweagu as a member of the task force.
Chief Nwolisa encouraged the members of the chapter as well as every member of the advocacy group to give their best in the task of trying to rid the sector of all corrupt practices that have stunted the development and growth of the sector.
