The president of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), High Chief Tochukwu Ezisi, has commended the appointment of Abubakar Dantsoho as the new managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
In a conversation with journalists, High Chief Ezisi stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s decision to appoint Dantsoho is a testament to his extensive career experience, professional competence, and administrative acumen. He expressed confidence that Mr. Dantsoho will leverage his background to revitalise, reposition, and modernise NPA operations, contributing to Nigeria’s economic advancement.
High Chief Ezisi also highlighted several key areas for Mr. Dantsoho to address, including enhancing security, repairing port quays, improving staff welfare, revisiting the port concession agreement, and maintaining port access roads for smooth traffic flow.
Chief Ezisi is optimistic that Dantsoho’s leadership will bring new energy and innovation to the NPA, fostering greater development in Nigeria’s maritime sector.
