In today’s harsh business environment, people are looking for ways to cut costs and maximise profits. With these realities in mind and for better ways of carrying out their businesses, the Ndigboamaka Progressive Markets Association, an umbrella body of various markets in Lagos State deemed it fit to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the United Nigeria Airlines.
The main thrust of the MOU deals with the NPMA and its members making the Airline their official carrier. Though, the details of the deal was not made available to us, but the Airline realising that these sets of business people travel a lot are set to tap into this particular market.
The official signing of the doted lies took place at the office of the Airline yesterday, the 18th of March 2026.
At the official signing ceremony, the president of the NPMA, Comrade Chinedu Ukatu said “the Ndigboamaka Progressive Markets Association and United Nigeria Airlines are hereby today officially signing an MOU adopting the United Nigeria Airlines as the official partner/carrier to Ndigboamaka Progressive Markets Association. This is a remarkable day for us as traders and it is for a symbiotic relationship for the two parties”.
Comrade Chinedu Ukatu led a team comprising of Chief Anthony Okeke, General Secretary, Mr Marcel Ozonweke ( PRO 2) to the ceremony. The Ndigboamaka as stated by their president “adopted the United Nigerian Airlines as an official carrier/partner because of their priority on safety and their record of great aviation achievements, these to us help to facilitate trade”.
The MOU marks a great attempt at tapping into the various opportunities existing in different business environment within the country and also creating avenue for growth and further expansion.
The management of the United Nigeria Airlines are quite happy to go into the MOU agreement as a way of tapping further into and deepening relationships with customers. This was underscored by the speed with which the MOU was drafted and signed by the two parties and it is hoped that this marks a fresh beginning for local business people in strategic business operations.
