Flurries of congratulatory messages and encomiums are pouring in for the choices made in selecting the new Command and Unit heads as well as for those who have now been elevated to higher ranks within the Nigeria Customs Service.
The new helmsman at the Ports Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML) Area Command is Comptroller Joseph Anani, his choice as the Customs Area Controller of the Command has been praised by some stakeholders.
Comptroller Joseph Anani left receiving the ceremonial flag from ACG Terry Mankini Daniyan.
The Tin Can Island Port chapter chairman of the Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON) is Comrade Akeem Ayobiojo. He is particularly happy with the appointment of Comptroller Anani into the position.
Comrade Ayobiojo spoke to us this morning via phone call and he noted that “Comptroller Anani’s humble disposition has always endeared him to people. His intelligence and emotional quotients give him a great edge as these make him a likeable person. He had acquited himself quite impressively in all the Commands that he had served under and I know that he will carry on with the same level of dedication, but with a higher sense of responsibility”.
Comrade Ayobiojo also eulogised the immediate past CAC of the Tin Can Island Port Command, who has now been promoted to the rank of Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, DCG Dera Anselm Nnadi. He noted that “DCG Nnadi’s charismatic nature, his assidousness, his social and emotional quotient all mark him out as a great officer”.

Comrade Ayobiojo also used the chance provided by the telephone chat to praise the appointment of Comptroller Gambo Aliyu as the new Customs Area Controller of the Oyo/Osun Command. He noted that Comptroller Aliyu was a thorough enforcement officer at his desk while at the Tin Can Island Port Command and expresses the optimism that “he will shine at the Oyo/Osun Command, his new post”.
He said ” I am particularly happy with the elevation accorded DCG Nnadi as I am also elated with the appointments of Comptroller Anani and Comptroller Aliyu and want to wish them the very best at the posts. I say a heartfelt congratulation to them and every other promoted officer within the Nigeria Customs Service”. Comrade Ayobiojo concluded.
