The crisis rocking the ranks of the New Nigeria People’s Party and its different factions seems unabated as the Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam faction of the party has reacted to the purported suspension of some members by the Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso faction. A statement by Comrade Ogini Sunday Olaposi, Secretary General at the NNPP Headquarters reads in full.
“Whereas we would have not bothered to respond to what we consider as nothingness, regret to note that the public may be misled by an ardent and perpetual group of people who do not believe in the rule of law and public order.
In the interest of public order and peace of the society, let it be clarified again that senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso led kwankwasiya movement and its members have been expelled from the New Nigeria people’s party.
The memorandum of understanding between NNPP and kwankwasiya movement has been terminated after the 2023 general elections.
Let it be on record that the memorandum of understanding were between the NNPP and kwankwasiya movement and not senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso and Elder Buba Galadima as natural persons.
Senator Kwakwanso and Buba Galadima were mere representatives of kwankwansiya movement and national movement respectively hence their signatures on the memorandum of understanding in 2022.
This simply means that the NNPP does not know them really but rather that they are mere interlopers in NNPP affairs at the moment as we note that the contract of understanding has been terminated.
It is also a fact that Abia State high court on the 1st of Nov 2024 had terminated NNPP and kwankwansiya movement’s memorandum of understanding, the court went ahead to compel INEC to handover the administration and leadership of NNPP to Dr Aniebonam Boniface Okechukwu, the chairman board of trustees and founder of the New Nigeria people’s party.
And so why is it that senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso and his unemployed characters are still parading themselves as members of NNPP?.
Whereas social media may have made most Nigerians Media practitioners, it is our belief that the front line media houses should help to educate and enlighten Nigerians under the circumstances.
We therefore wish to appeal and advise kano state indigenes to disregard whatever the kwankwansiya members who are masquerading as NNPP members are saying as false and misleading.
Also Mr. president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and our sister political party, the APC should equally regard whatever kwankwansiya movement led by Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso are saying as false.
The purported suspension of all the Hon. members is false and these statements are irresponsible, we note that all of them are full fledged and bonafide, elected members of the new Nigeria people’s party.
Our take in all these are that two people can not be outlaws at the same time. In our 54th National convention in Lagos 2025, the assembly rose in unison to pray for senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso, Elder Buba Galadima and the entire members of the kwankwansiya movement for God’s wisdom, knowledge and respect for the rule of law.
We also wish to use this opportunity to apologise to Mr. president over the unguided utterances of our former leader in the last general election of 2023.
It is so disheartening and embarrassing that senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso and Elder Buba Galadima can be making unguided utterances capable of threatening the peace of the society.
As for Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, the NNPP has been lenient and tolerable of his gross misconduct, he should note that if we expel him from the NNPP, the chances of a run off election may be possible in Kano State and he may not continue to be a Governor without a political party.
Buba Galadima should note that members of NNPP are not poor, the root of NNPP is from the gateway of the nations economy, the NAGAFF family. They are very rich and this is to underscore the reasons why they allowed senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso to fly their flag at the Presidential election of 2023 at no cost.
Our bag of money is still missing and it is our hope and belief that the EFCC shall help us to recover our money as reported in due course of time.
Some spiritual leaders of evil nature can not help under the circumstances, all NNPP members are children of God and any evil fashioned against any member of NNPP from Morocco, Mali, Katsina, Maiduguri , Kano, Cameroon, India. Niger etc can not fly. Those involved must stop or have themselves to blame
Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso and Elder Buba Galadima and company do not understand that the mechanism of internal democracy have been used to expel all of them from New Nigeria People’s Party. INEC is a federal institution of Nigeria and at the appropriate time old records shall be deleted from their server . Betrayal of trust is against Islam and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso and Elder Buba Galadima must understand this clearly.
