The peaceful nature of the election that heralded the Tin Can Island chapter, executive committee members of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANCLA) has been capped with a swearing in ceremony that is devoid of any rancour otherwise conducted in a celebration mood.
The association’s president, Mr. Emenike Nwokeoji and the board of trustees (BoT) led by Chief Taiwo Mustapha, Mr. Kingsley Offor secretary and others were on hand to do the inauguration of the new executive committee members.
It will be recalled that the elections of the Western Zone chapters were conducted on the 20th of February at the main hall of the Federal Palace hotel were 4 chapters had their election concluded and 1 has since remained inconclusive. The newly inaugurated public relations officer of the chapter Comrade Onome Joy A. spoke with us after the ceremony.
” A new sheriff is now in town as Prince Olawale Mathew Cole officially takes over as the chairman of ANLCA ,TCIP chapter after winning a landslide victory. He has come to seek to redress the operational challenges and fight for seamless work environment. He intends to also work hand in hand for effective positive change with the Comptroller of the Command and all other government agencies at the port. Mr Cole will take to proactive procedures for all stakeholders in the port and he wants to see that 48hrs cargo clearance is possible at the chapter as B’ Odogwu is being integrated here at the port”. She concluded.
The Tin Can Island Port Command chapter has Olawale Mathew Cole as chairman, Sonniel Onochie as Vice Chairman, Franky Paul Nwegbe as secretary, Yetunde Ilori as Treasurer, Susan Ogunwunmi as Financial Secretary, Ijigade Temitope as assistant secretary, Onome Joy A as public relations officer.
